Road Trip!

Pioneering through the syskiou wilderness the intrepid trio encounter adversity at every turn.

But we were prepared and we no doubt made it to the
race.
Here we are before the start of the 1st race day,
handing out one of our top tier bribes to an official
looking sort.

Our illustrious pit crew in fine form.
But alas, we couldn't get the set screw to hold up
to
the 1st days job up the sand hill.
No ace. We welded the drive gears on the differential
shaft at the 1st night's camp spot.
The 2nd day starts with the water crossing. Here we
are
on the way in:
a glorious entry partially swamping the boat; bildge
pump came in handy;
with the now low leak rate boat we were able to pedal
in dry wells.

Here we are on the way out: furled jib and main, shifted to low, and a no worries exit in front of the lobster.

Then the long trek up to Lolita, the key word being up. Shade was nice:

The 2nd night's camp spot was a beach party. This day we worried time, as we're slow and heavy, but we aced.

The third day has a LeMans start; here's a bunch of racers collected just before the start.

Then a short river crossing and on to slippery
slimey.
Here broke down again as the differential
chain had stretched to the point where it skipped links
when in low and cranking the torque up.
No ace. We moved through the mud flat with the angle
stock cleats very handily.

At the awards we were awarded an ace, as our craft
did
pass all check points,
and bribes were bribed appropriately at the unclear
legal
push zones.
It seemed even slipperly slimey was a legal push; not
as worthy an ace
as one including the slippery climb. So any way, we
gave
the ace back,
but we'll be back for our next attempt at a glorious
ace including a
slippery climb.
Cows seemed to like us; sheep so so, goats not.
All for now,
Vegster
